The world is a different place than it was before 2020. Nursing was stressful enough before all of the extra precautions became necessary. While there was always some concern about catching whatever “bug” it was that the patient had, now it is often top-of-mind as are the precautions which must be taken.
You became a nurse because you want to help people. I’ve heard it say that while the Doctors are diagnosing, the nurses are the ones caring for the patients. You chose this profession because you care, not just for and about your patients, but your family and community as well.
Back in December of 2020 I ran across a study published out of Turkey. The study described using online deliver of EFT Tapping to help COVID-19 Care Nurses reduce the impact of Stress, Anxiety, and Burnout. You can download the pdf here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.explore.2020.11.012
The two most important take-aways are:
- Online access-based emotional freedom technique positively affected the stress and anxiety of nurses who care for COVID-19 patients.
- Online access-based emotional freedom technique positively affected burnout for nurses who care for COVID-19 patients.
I’ve been wanting to put together a program specifically to help Nurses reduce their Stress, Anxiety, and Burnout symptoms ever since I found out about that study. I even contacted one of the authors who was kind enough to answer some of my questions about the study.
Below you will find a Tap-Along video that I made in my car specifically for Nurses. The idea is to use this at the end of your shift, BEFORE you head home (or even leave the parking lot!)
Simply Tap-Along with this video and reduce your stress level by eliminating some of the stuck, emotional charge from the day. As your watching it the first time, be sure to note the time code where I start Tapping, so you can fast-forward to that point the next time you Tap-Along with the video before going home.

- After Tapping-Along with it do you notice a lower mental stress level?
- After Tapping do you notice some additional resilience available to you?
PLEASE leave a comment below and let me know! Oh, and if you have a suggestion for at Tap-Along topic that you’d like to see addressed, please put that in the comments as well. Thanks!
